    Hi,

I was just checking out your iPhone app in the App Store. Congrats, looks pretty good.

Happy with your sales so far?

I’ve been working with some app developers the last few months, and I’ve learned that there’s two aspects that you need to focus on to be really successful selling apps in iTunes. I’d be happy to share what I’ve learned if you’re interested. Just let me know and I’ll send you a quick overview.

    Best of luck,
    Ed Turner

iCombat is a really cool game, but I think there should be more upgrades such as machine gun bullets that do not ricochet and armor which is like a shield except instead makes the bullets ricochet off of your tank. Also I think there should be white enemy tanks that can turn invisible but cannot shot while they are.

In two player mode I'd like a mode where the two players play as a team against the enemy and work their way through the levels like one player mode.

    Thanks for considering these ideas.

    This is my new project.

It is 1000x faster then APPRanking and contains the Top1000 rankings from all countries and categories.

    Hello sir!

I would appreciate you if you could contact me back. I have a few questions about your app development with InjoiT and just any information/advice you could give me about making my app idea a reality. Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestions…I like the black tank idea and we should definitely add. As for the yellow tank it will be in the next version as a stationary tank (these are much harder than the dumb AI we have in the moving ones now). Also would like to add some of the richer enemy behavior like mines and bonus items soon, we will get there in one of the next updates for sure! Thanks again.

This is a cool game, but I think there should be more types of enemy tanks, such as Black tanks that shoot shells and take 2 hits to destroy, invisible tanks that can only be seen from their tracks, yellow tanks that can shoot and lay mines, and green tanks that launch unlimited grenades.

    Thanks.

    key6no,
Thanks for the spotting those bugs, I will check them out now. As for the 3 bullet enemy bounces, where exactly does this happen? I know in hard mode all enemies shoot 2 bullets but is there somewhere they shoot 3? Could you be thinking of the red tanks?

When the opponents shoot there bullet lasts 3 bounces and ours lasts 2. Is the opponents supposed to be like that

    April 13th, 2009 at 03:24 | #14

On level 7 there is a glitch where you throw the grenade and it keeps spinning around and around like it is heatseeking

    April 13th, 2009 at 03:08 | #15

There is a glitch on the one where you are in an alley in the middle well when you kill people after you are killing a few people even though I killed the tank in the top left corner bullets still come out shooting at me

Great game- i like the tilting features. Few games take advantage of that… i like the price too. Lots of games are overpriced, but this one's just right. keep it up! i cant wait to see new updates in the future.

Not a good idea for the following reasons:
    1. People would be sad because they paid for it and it would be free
    2. Every game that was free for a day went DOWN in ranks because people are like why would I get this if I could have gotten it for free?

Ps: would be cool if you could choose the level you start on instead of starting at level 1 all the time!!

iCombat is a good game for any middle-schooler, high-schooler, or even grown adults. It'll keep you busy on long car-rides and you will love the two player mode. This new technology is amazing and I know that iCombat is a necessity for any fun-loving gamer(s).

Thanks for the suggestions, we are working on more levels and different weapons now – not sure if we will add different weapons to the enemies yet. As for double bouncing missiles you should try hard mode where all enemy missiles double ricochet – and so do yours. Super hard!

Love the global competition idea – would be cool to compete with people in different countries! For now we want to get global high scores out first…thanks again keep the suggestions coming.

Hi. I just bought iCombat and so far it's pretty good. The steering was pretty good, but it could be smoother. Other than that game-play was excellent. I could hardly put it down. But here are a few suggestions
-for later levels maybe add more different types of enemy tanks … for example a tank that fires faster or has bullets that bounces off walls more.
-maybe add a feature where you can wifi with other players around the world and not just players on the same wifi connection
-maybe add a feature where you can customize your tank color
    -level editor?
Thanks! the games great so far

I bought iCombat recently and it brings back memories of playing the old Atari game. My kids love it too. I was wondering if you had to pay anything to Atari (or whoever now owns the rights) for the concept of Combat?

…really glad to hear that the clickwheel interface is a future possibility. Any ideas when you might be pushing out the next up-date?…….no pressure; )

p.s Thanks for pasting my e-mail. My original post must be lost somewhere in he internet ether…

  25. April 5th, 2009 at 08:56 | #25

Alistair, Thanks for the message – as for your comment about the d-pad, we were planning to do bottom left placement for the d-pad as is. We also love the iDracula layout. The reason the clickwheel sort of interface works especially well in this case is because it allows for different speeds of movement based on the fingers distance from the center. We are still playing with the options though now so will see what seems to work best. Thanks for the suggestions…

  26. April 5th, 2009 at 08:53 | #26

This post is from Alistair sent via e-mail (couldn't post):
Anyway, all I wanted to say was that I am enjoying your game alot, and that if you do plan on adding a d-pad, then one with the same sort of slide function as with iDracula or Dropship would be great. I personally find the 4 directional d-pad is too precise for the iPhone/Touch, without the tactile feel of real buttons. In fact while I'm at it, an option to have the d-pad on the left would also be welcome as I am left-handed: )
    Good luck

    Ruben,
No plan for a lite version yet, hope you get to try it out though. As for the reviews, we were reviewed by Touch Arcade today and they included a video here – http://toucharcade.com/2009/04/04/icombat-great...

  30. April 5th, 2009 at 07:21 | #30

    Ruben,
Hey thanks for your suggestion – as of now the plan is to keep it at $0.99 and most users seem to be happy with this since it is already a discount to our regular price. We will see if it can rise the ranks as is but we are open to anything to get into the top 100! If you want to try it out or give it to a friend e-mail me at icombatgame@gmail.com and I will get you set up with a promo code right away. Thanks for posting.

Hi! If you do include a d-pad, please please pretty please with a cherry on top, make it a slidy one in the same vain as iDracula or Dropship, so you don't have to keep looking to see where to touch, if you get my drift; )

    Great work by the way!

  33. April 3rd, 2009 at 06:15 | #33

    GD,
Not sure if you found the set tilt function in the game but if you go to Options in pause menu you can set your tilt for anywhere from flat to 90 degrees (Lock tilt where you want it). Also we should be coming out with a d-pad in one of the next updates…thanks for your suggestions!

Hi, I bought a copy of iCombat earlier today. Although I like the game overall I did wanted to suggest that you add some other functionality to moving the tank that is not tilting. It be great if I could play the game while laying down or sitting back; maybe a direction pad could be a solutions. Thanks pal! Otherwise no complaints.
